 School Nurses

     Registered nurses provide parent education and medical support for certain PAC Programs (i.e., sensory screening, the Child Find Program, etc.).  Licensed Practical Nurses are employed to provide child-specific care to certain students with disabilities.  The nurses are school-based within the system. The nurse serves as a valuable and knowledgeable liaison with the medical community; essential in the clarification of data received from general and specialty practitioners.  The nurses also facilitate the writing of Individual Health Plans (IHP) for relevant students within the system.
